Membership.  BWC welcomes serious inquiries regarding membership.  A member in good standing is one who attends three or more meetings a year, works on two or more major fund raisers a year, and upholds the bylaws and standing rules.  If you have any questions or would like to attend one of our monthly meetings, please look at the rest of our Membership Web page and then contact us at BWC@vcweb.org .

To become a voting member, applicants must complete the following steps:

1.     Submit a written application for membership to the membership chairman.  It must be signed by the applicant and membership chairman.

2.    Pay their annual dues and a small initiation fee.

3.    Be formally presented to the membership.

Meeting.  Bonsall Woman's Club meets every first Thursday of the month from September to June in the Banquet Room at San Luis Rey Downs Country Club. rules. 

Time.  A social hour precedes the meeting from 9 to 10 a.m.  The business meeting starts promptly at 10 a.m. and lasts until 11 a.m., at which time the program is presented. 

Program.  Programs run the gamut, including some of the following:

    Musical presentations by some of our own talented members, star performers from local schools or professional entertainers.                      

    Women's issues or other stimulating topics

    Problems that impact our local environment

    Informative talks from charitable organizations we help support

    Special yearly programs--a silent auction, our club's birthday celebration and honoring of past presidents, and installation of officers ceremony

Lunch.  A buffet lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. (or noon) til 1 p.m. or so.   Lunch is optional, but a $2 room set-up fee for coffee and tea is charged to all other members not having lunch.  The cost of lunch is $12 (includes the set-up fee).  Every month, the menu is announced in the Roadrunner, the club's newsletter.  To avoid having to send in a check every month, members might consider sending in a check for several months or perhaps the whole year.

If the special salad is available as a choice, it must be mentioned at the time your reservation is sent in.  No phone reservations after the Monday preceding the Thursday meeting.  If, on the day of the meeting, you decide you want lunch, please check to see if there are any cancellations.
